World Cup schedule is expected to be announced on May 27

Karachi: The schedule for the ODI World Cup is set to be announced on May 27. The Indian Cricket Board will make several important decisions during its special general meeting.

Among the five points on the agenda, the establishment of a working group for the mega event scheduled for October and November this year holds the highest significance. The members of the organizing committee may also be announced. The venues and dates for the matches have not yet been disclosed. The competitions are anticipated to take place from October 5 to November 19, with 12 venues across the country selected to host the matches.

The final match will be held at the new stadium in Ahmedabad. A committee will also be formed for the Indian Board Women's Premier League, which saw its first edition in March. Previously organized by the IPL Governing Council, the BCCI will now establish a separate body for the women's league. The women's league has received a positive response from stakeholders, including team owners and broadcasters.

The event has also been well-received by the public. The formation of the Physiotherapists and Trainers Infrastructure Development Subcommittee in the state teams will also be implemented, and the sexual harassment prevention policy will be approved.

Meanwhile, the Indian squad for the World Test Championship final will travel to London in three stages. The first squad will depart on May 23, the second squad will join after the completion of the IPL playoffs, and the remaining players will depart on May 30. The final, scheduled from June 7 to 12, will take place at the Oval in Australia.
