Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) management committee chief says that if the Indian board plays the Asia Cup matches with Pakistan at neutral venues under the hybrid model and assures to come and play the ICC Champions Trophy in Pakistan in 2025. So the national team can be sent to India to play the ICC World Cup.
In an interview to the Indian media, Najam Sethi said that under the hybrid model, 5 matches will be played in Pakistan and 8 matches will be played at a neutral venue.
As the host nation, it is our right to choose a neutral Vino, but we are ready to sit down and decide on a Vino with all the stakeholders.
The gate money received from the Asia Cup matches should be given to Pakistan, we are in favor of holding the event where Pakistan will collect more revenue than the India matches, however, nothing will be received from the matches in Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.
He said that UAE and London are the best options, a decision should be made by the end of June regarding the Asia Cup, after that there will not be much time for arrangements.
Pakistan does not consider the Asia Cup as a political war with India, if the Asia Cup does not take place and the World Cup takes place without Pakistan, it will be a great loss for cricket. We do not want this, Pakistan is trying to find a solution to the deadlock of India matches, we are of the opinion that politics should not be brought into the game.
