Rawalpindi: Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir emphasized that those who disrespected the nation on May 9 will face legal consequences, and similar incidents will not be tolerated in the future under any circumstances.
As per the Pakistan Army Public Relations (ISPR), Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir paid a visit to Sialkot Garrison today, where he was warmly received by Corps Commander Gujranwala.
Upon reaching the Garrison, the Army Chief laid floral wreaths at the memorial of the martyrs and paid homage to those who sacrificed their lives for the nation's pride, honor, and dignity.
During this occasion, the Army Chief expressed that the martyrs are esteemed individuals who have been promised a significant position in the afterlife. The exceptional status of the martyrs will forever hold a place in the hearts of the Pakistani people. The State of Pakistan and the Armed Forces consistently prioritize the martyrs and their families, respecting their tremendous sacrifices.
The Army Chief affirmed that the desecration of martyrs and their memorials will not be permitted. The martyrs serve as a source of inspiration and pride for the armed forces, law enforcement agencies, government officials, and the people of Pakistan.
The Army Chief stressed that the recent tragic events, part of a deliberate plan, will not be allowed to occur again at any cost.
Reiterating his commitment to the personnel, the Army Chief assured that all those responsible for insulting the nation on the Black Day of May 9 will be held accountable.
While interacting with the officers and men, the Army Chief commended the subordinate formations for their hard work, dedication, high morale, and professionalism. He praised the Army's ability to tackle internal and external challenges, including the ongoing propaganda warfare. He emphasized the importance of comprehensive preparation and urged them to remain focused on all fronts.
